The gabardine was a name of the overcoats which a Jew wore for the Middle Ages period originally.
However, Burberry(British luxury fashion house) came to use this name as a trademark of the coatings of the own company at the end of the 19th century.
Since then it came to be used as a pronoun of the twill weave cloth of this kind.
We took in the gabardine to work clothes.It has dignity and makes you excellent.
