The pattern of hemp leaves is considered as a lucky charm so it is often used for baby's clothing in Japan.
Yagasuri is a designed pattern of arrow wings and used from ancient times.
In Edo period, this pattern was considered lucky and it was believed that a bride who brought kimono of this pattern when she gets married will never come back to her parents' home by divorce; because once an arrow is shot it never comes back.
Now this pattern is popular for the kimono for the graduation. Both patterns are traditional, and yet make women of today beautiful. It is also easy to wash at home.
